Zoom AR48 – Performance Sampler mit Sensor-Ring

Wie der ARQ ist der AR48 mit 2×16-Step Farb-LEDs ausgestattet und der Ring abnehmbar mit Neigungssensor, der auch Druck und Stöße erkennt. Nur ist das Gerät dieses Mal mit Knöpfen übersäht und ein Sampler. Man kann Files einladen und somit eigene Samples spielen – es gibt aber auch 460 mitgelieferte…
Arpeggiator und 16 Velocity-Stufen sollen helfen, live direkt mit dem Sequencer und dem Controller zu arbeiten. Es gibt natürlich auch Effekte, wofür Zoom ja sogar bekannter ist.

Die etwas schleppende Bereitstellung des ARQ könnte mit diesem Gerät ein wenig mehr Glück beweisen bei dem Datum, da nämlich sonst aktuell nicht sehr viel los ist bei den Neuigkeiten.

Eine Sequenz kann 32 Steps lang sein. – es gibt 3 Suboszillatoren und die Geräte können per Bluetooth kommunizieren (Ring und Hauptgerät) – Die BT Funktion ist besonders für Apple-User interessant, da man damit direkt MIDI steuern könnte und das IOS und MacOS unterstützten das schon längere Zeit, während der Windowsuser noch immer auf externe Lösungen angewiesen ist, daher ist es wohl extern zu kaufen und gehört nicht direkt dazu.

this sampler is sort of the follow up to the ARQ by Zoom, which is basically an FX but with Samples as well – the AR48 is a sampler with FX, so it is designed to be exactly that controlled by the remote ring that is a a separate unit – it has 2 displays and knobs – you can upload your own WAV samples to it and it has a 32step sequencer (made of 16 steps each) – SD card slot is there to save everything to card – the ring has an accelerometer and gyroscope – so it is basically ready to control the sound generator – which has 3 sub oscs.

it’s MIDI and USB equipped but optionally bluetooth can be added which is very cool to have on macs and iOS devices since they support bluetooth as MIDI signals withing it’s coremidi environment.
